The Atikameksheng Trust believes that culture is an important part of the lives of the members. We encourage beneficiaries to take part in various cultural related activities to expand their thoughts and activities.

The Traditional Culture Grant can assist you with:

Tools and or Equipment

Cultural camps, workshops, and teachings (ex: annual language conference.)

Crafts, art, sewing, and beading supplies.

Preservation, promotion, and study of the Nation’s language and writing.

Hunting, fishing, and gathering / harvesting.

Supports and or admissions for ceremonies, rituals, holidays (ex: regalia, incidental honorarium, musical instruments, and equipment).

Land based activities.

Landscaping, and gardening.
